Effective October 24, 2026 · Version 2026-10-24
LifeSafetyLeaders LLC, doing business as Life Safety Leaders (“Life Safety Leaders,” “we,” “us”), provides EMS and healthcare continuing education, CPR and life-support courses, driver-safety training and memberships. This policy explains what personal information we collect through lifesafetyleaders.com and our classes, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. It works together with our Terms & Conditions and Refund & Cancellation Policy.
The short version: we collect what we need to register you, teach you, document your attendance and credit, take payment and (if you choose) keep you informed. We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for advertising, and our site does not currently run advertising or analytics trackers.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Registration and class forms: name, email, phone, organization or agency, role, certification level, PA EMS certification number, EMS Registry (NREMT) ID, certification expiration dates, special requests or accommodations, how you heard about us, and the consent choices you make on the form.
- Orders and payments: name, billing details, items purchased and order history. Card and Cash App payments are processed by Square. We do not receive or store your full card number.
- Attendance and training records: check-in and check-out times, attendance status, skills test results (pass or fail), course completion card (eCard) issue and expiration dates, and instructor notes about your participation.
- Evaluations and feedback: your class evaluation answers, any testimonial you choose to provide, and the names and emails of people you refer (please refer only people who would expect to hear from us).
- Messages and sign-ups: contact form messages, class requests, newsletter and “Get Notified” sign-ups, and anything you send us by email or phone.
- Membership information: your tier, term and renewal date.
- Photos and video: only if you gave permission on the registration form.
Please do not send us Social Security numbers, full payment card numbers, driver’s license numbers, passwords or health information about patients. We do not need them.
Information collected automatically
When you use the site, our servers and security tools record your IP address, browser and device type, pages requested and the date and time. Form submissions and order records also store the IP address, browser and device used. When you check out we record the version of the Terms you agreed to and when.
Information from others
If your employer, agency or another person registers or pays for you, we receive the registration details they provide.
2. How we use your information
- To register you, confirm enrollment, schedule and run classes, and send class reminders and follow-ups.
- To take payment, issue receipts, process refunds and prevent fraud.
- To keep attendance, roster, skills and evaluation records, award course completion cards and continuing education hours, and respond to audits and verification requests.
- To send certification and card renewal reminders and membership renewal reminders, when you have opted in or the reminder is part of your purchase.
- To send news about future classes, if you opted in.
- To improve our classes (evaluations are reviewed and may be quoted without your contact information) and to publish a testimonial only if you agreed.
- To secure the site, troubleshoot, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Who we share it with
We share information only with the people and services needed to run the business, and only for those purposes:
- Payment processing: Square, Inc. (including Cash App Pay), which handles your payment under its own privacy notice.
- Hosting, email and business tools: our website host (Hostinger), our email delivery providers, our customer-relationship and email system (FluentCRM on our own site), and Google services we use for scheduling, rosters and records (Google Workspace, Gmail, Google Sheets). We also load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google when a page loads.
- Course completion cards: the American Heart Association, when we issue an AHA eCard in your name.
- Your employer, agency or certifying bodies: attendance, completion or credit information when you or your agency ask us to verify it, or where a regulator or program requires it (for example, EMS continuing education verification).
- Professional advisers and authorities: our accountant, attorney or insurer, and government or law enforcement when the law requires or to protect rights and safety.
- A business transfer: a buyer or successor if the business is sold or reorganized, subject to this policy.
Our service providers may use your information only to perform services for us. We do not sell personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies that are necessary to operate the site, such as keeping items in your cart, completing checkout, and security protection. We do not currently use advertising, retargeting or analytics cookies or tracking pixels. If we add them in the future, we will update this policy and ask for your consent where required. Because we do not track you across sites, we treat browser “Do Not Track” and Global Privacy Control signals as honored by default. Our pages may link to services such as Facebook and Instagram; those sites have their own policies.
5. Email and text communications
- Service messages (confirmations, receipts, schedule changes, class reminders and follow-up for classes you took) are sent because you registered and are not marketing.
- Marketing and renewal reminders are sent only if you opted in on a form. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link. You can also email us to stop them. Unsubscribing from marketing does not stop service messages about a class you are enrolled in.
- Phone and text: we may call or text you about your registration, scheduling and payment. We do not send promotional texts without your separate express consent, and we do not share phone numbers with third parties for their own marketing. Reply STOP to end texts.
6. How long we keep information
We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes above and our legal and program obligations:
- Attendance, roster, skills, evaluation and course completion records are kept for the period required by the programs and regulators that govern our classes, so we may not be able to delete them on request while that period applies.
- Order, payment and tax records are kept as required for accounting, tax and dispute purposes.
- Marketing contact data is kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. We keep a minimal suppression record so we do not email you again.
- Security logs and backups are kept for a limited time and then overwritten.
7. Your choices and rights
Whether or not your state has a privacy law, you may email us to:
- ask what personal information we hold about you and get a copy;
- correct information that is wrong or out of date;
- ask us to delete your information, except records we must keep as described above;
- opt out of marketing and renewal reminders, or withdraw photo and video permission for future use;
- appeal if you disagree with how we handled a request.
We may need to verify your identity before acting. We will respond within 45 days. We will not treat you differently for exercising these rights.
State laws. Pennsylvania does not currently have a comprehensive consumer privacy law, but we follow Pennsylvania’s data breach notification law. Residents of states that give additional rights (for example California, Virginia or Colorado) may use the process above, and we will honor those rights to the extent they apply to us.
8. Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), payment processing through Square rather than on our own servers, access controls, security monitoring and regular backups. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and any required authorities as the law requires.
9. Children
Our classes and site are intended for adults and working professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Where your information is processed
We operate in the United States, and your information is processed and stored in the United States.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The effective date and version appear at the top. If we make a material change, we will post it here and, where appropriate, notify you by email.
